The Corner exists to foster relationships with people in urban communities, to serve one another, and to grow in mutual love and respect.

What will you do?
The Corner is a 4-6 day urban mission trip for participants 13 and older. It includes service at 2-3 partner organizations. Participants do a combination of physical work and relationship building. Service may include carpentry, painting, gardening, reading and playing with children, preparing and serving meals in a soup kitchen, sorting clothes at a clothing bank, and working in a food pantry.
Where will you stay?
Participants stay at First & Central Presbyterian Church, in the heart of downtown Wilmington. Our spacious accommodations include a new kitchen, a multipurpose media/dining room, two bathrooms with full showers, and a washer/dryer. Meals are included. Some will be prepared for you, and some you will be asked to prepare yourself.
What will you learn?

Through a combination of personal experiences, readings, discussion, and time for contemplation, participants develop a deeper understanding of urban poverty, empathy for and curiosity about others, and knowledge of both what they have to offer and what others have to offer them.
